Youth Advocates for Community Health

Delavan-Darien High School Students!!!! Listen up!!!! Are you in grades 10-12? Are you interested in Health and Wellness? Have you been looking for a fantastic opportunity to increase your knowledge and skills as well as involvement in the community? Then YACH (Youth Advocates for Community Health) is for you! This project will grant you the opportunity to work closely with UW-Extension Walworth County educators in FoodWIse and 4-H! Our goal? To deliver an educational program to a targeted audience about Healthy Choices.

Interviews will be conducted and a total of six Youth will be selected for the project. This is a PAID project that will run from February until August. On average, students will work 2 hours a week. Students will attend meetings and a day-long orientation/training in February, including deliverance of the resulting project. Bus transportation will be provided and mileage reimbursement, if needed, at the state rate. Youth will be paid $500 over three installments of $166.67 (in April, July, and September).
